Most Christians know that they are responsible to God; in fact, they know they are a slave to God with obligations. However, all of us have wondered one time or another, what is my purpose in my Christian walk with God? What is the father/husband's, the mother/wife's, the child's role in God's plan? Jesus knew that his main obligation in life was to carry out the will of the Father. Only "the one who does the will of [Jesus'] Father" is going to be blessed by the kingdom. (Matt 7:21) We are to help the poor in spirit, those who are of Satan's world, and lack spirituality. We are to free those held captive in Satan's world of humankind, as they are alienated from God. We are to open the eyes of those, who are spiritually blind. (Lu 4:18-19) This is every Christian's purpose. How, to what extent, and what role we play is up to us. It should be based on the level of our love and motivation to serve God wholeheartedly, without evading the responsibility we have in our Christian family, and congregation families.
