When he falls, he falls hard and deep. She literally drives away from every relationship she's ever had. Can Ward somehow get Dot to stay this Christmas?
Ward Glover is now the foreman at Shiloh Ridge Ranch. He loves his new job, though he's over a lot more at a shallower depth. He's been on the fence with diving back into the dating pool, but when Santa drops a beautiful woman straight into his front yard on Christmas Eve, Ward sits up and takes notice.
Dorothy Crockett owns and operates a landscaping and design company in Three Rivers. When she's not ordering new textiles and paint colors for people's homes, she's driving a truck to deliver the decorative rocks, bark, or dirt customers have ordered. Dot's been burned so many times by cowboys, and she's decided to forget about men and cultivate a relationship between her and Brutus, her big, noisy dump truck.
When she delivers a load of gravel to Shiloh Ridge Ranch and gets stranded for the holidays, Dot is smitten by the ranch foreman...who has the same name as her ex-fiancé. She's resistant to Ward's good looks, charms, and advances, but her defenses are useless against a man as charismatic as him. As they spend Christmas together, Dot hopes she's not giving him her heart to crush.
Can Ward handle Dot's heart with care? Or will she leave him in the dust when she drives away once the holidays end?
