Description

Lily would rather be sitting at home with a good book than attending the prince's birthday ball. She knew every girl in attendance would be dressed up and trying to catch the prince's eye...every girl except her. She could not wait for the ball to be over. When she saw the prince, she noticed that he did not seem to be enjoying himself much, and when he asked her to dance, she realized this was true. He had already danced with many of the women in the room, but never twice. Lily had never been able to not say exactly what she was thinking, and when she was dancing with him, she asked the prince about it. She was surprised when he suddenly seemed to be enjoying their conversation, and she did not even notice when the second song played. The prince had never met anyone like Lily Hawthorne. She seemed to be the only woman there who was not trying to hook him, and that made her even more appealing. Could two people from such different backgrounds make any kind of a relationship work? What would happen to Lily when the prince was threatened, and could their attraction turn to love? Would Lily be able to overcome all of the obstacles that came along with dating a prince?
