Anton Bruckner (1824-1896) was an Austrian Romantic composer and organist. He was one of the most important and innovative composers of his time and influenced music history to this day. His most important works are large-scale symphonies and sacred music, including three major masses and the Te Deum. As an organist, he was particularly admired for his improvisations.
