Paul Roland is the author of more than 50 non-fiction books and has been an equally prolific independent recording artist releasing 20 albums (including the HP Lovecraft inspired 'Re-Animator' ad 'Bates Motel' written specifically for surviving members of the Velvet Underground). He has been called "the male Kate Bush" by one-time label mate Robyn Hitchcock and "the godfather of Steampunk". He has a cult following in Europe where he has toured many times both with his band and as a solo performer. 'Bitter and Twisted Tales' is his first collection of short crime fiction.
