Brian the Barracuda is a children`s rhyming book about a Barracuda who goes on a journey of self-discovery to change his life and make new friends. Brian is a friendly fish who spends his days trying to make new friends but to no avail. He struggles to understand why the other fish won't play with him and why they all swim away and hide?
Brian is determined to discover the truth so he makes a plan to ask a shark and a whale. Surely these two huge sea creatures won't be afraid of him? First Brian approaches the shark but it takes one look at him and speeds off like a submarine. Disappointed but still focused, Brian then swims up to a whale who`s face turns bright red before it passes out. Brian`s plan just isn't working!
Brian is close to giving up and accepting his lonely fate when he finds a small sardine who reluctantly agrees to help him. The brave sardine tells Brian the shocking truth....
The other fish swim away from him because he has very stinky breath and food stuck in his teeth!
Brian is shocked by this terrible news but then learns about a dentist for the very first time in his life. With the help of this new friend the sardine, Brian seeks the help of a friendly octopus dentist who teaches him how to look after his teeth! Brian is given his very own toothbrush and learns the importance of brushing twice a day.
Brian's life completely changes after his visit to the dentist. His breath smells great and his teeth are sparkly clean. His bright smile attracts all the fish in the reef and Brian makes lots of new friends. Brian is so happy that he's finally made some friends and he will never forget what really turned his life around....a toothbrush!
