The large X-height (1.0mm) suits large expressive work, is suitable for beginners, and also works with large italic/broad edge nibs (>2mm) for italic, Blackletter and Roman styles.
The shaded dot grid allows for 1:2 ratio easily and for quick left and right-angled, horizontal and vertical and guidelines, designed for quick reference and organisation of your notes with contents and page numbers.
