Letters and reports of missionary friars from Cathay and India, 1292-1338; Cathay under the Mongols, from Rashiduddin's history, c. 1300-1307; Pegolotti's notices of the land route to Cathay, c. 1330-40; and John d'Marignolli's recollections of eastern travel, 1338-53, taken from his 'Chronicle of Bohemia'. This volume covers Ibn Battuta's travels in Bengal and China, c. 1347, and the journey of Goës from Agra to Cathay, 1602-7, with an index to all four volumes.
