Asta has no one she can count on, no one she can trust, but when Rafael shows up in the bar where she works she's drawn to him on every level. Too bad he's an archangel and she's the spawn of a demon. Natural enemies, they try not to let their mutual attraction grow but can't seem to stay away from each other.
Rafael's protective instincts for humans goes off the charts when he meets Asta, but he knows she's nothing but trouble. She can't help her demon half, but as an archangel he should be fighting the attraction rather than giving in to it. When her demon taint starts to spread he knows he should kill her, but his heart won't let him harm her in any way.
Asta is looking for answers because the instincts to do evil are growing. One wrong turn and she finds herself neck deep in demons and trouble. The archangels have to save her from demons, her father, and herself. And Rafe has to decide if she's worth taking the final fall.
