Description
Just outside of the big city limits of Lexington, Kentucky, the small and mysterious town of Shady Oaks exists. With a eerily welcoming presence, it offers its residents charm, beauty, and secrets. Beautiful and independent Dorry wasn't the type of girl who believed in fairy tales. As the typical, spoiled rich girl, she had become jaded to the world around her. Living a fast life of no curfews, shopping sprees, and breaking the rules; she was devastated when she was sent to spend the summer with her aunt and uncle on a small Kentucky farm.
Reclusive and moody Caden has lived a life of secrecy for years. Hiding in plain sight, he enjoyed his life of solitude. Working as a farmhand, he was able to keep his secret identity hidden-- until Dorry showed up.
Upon meeting, Caden discovers that Dorry is on to his secret. As much as he attempts to keep Dorry at a distance, she refuses to stay away.
