It's the spring of 1963. Eddie is a beloved teen in his quaint hometown, but then he is intentionally hit by a car, which leaves him in a coma. Years go by - friends and family give up on Eddie. They say "pull the plug". They leave Eddie for dead. But they read Eddie wrong. You see, Eddie had an Ace in the hole.
When Eddie wakes up in 2023, he is shocked and disappointed at what he sees - until the ghost of JFK visits him and inspires Eddie to make a difference.
Now Eddie, 77 years young realizes why he was kept alive, and what he has to do.
At that point, Eddie goes on a mission to reclaim the greatness of America. He shares his dream of a great America with television audiences and leaves them wanting more. One of the people in the TV audience happens to be his old boss Al Dawson, a Vietnam war hero who's drugged up in a nursing home (a la Jack Nicholson One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest).
When Al sees Eddie on TV, he starts to snap out of it. Eddie soon arrives (with back-up) at the nursing home to take Al with him, and Al is READY TO GO....
He and others around America have been waiting for their Moses (Eddie) for a long time! They head to Washington to take care of business.
However, a senior Senator with an agenda of his own is watching Eddie's every move and is prepared to stop his mission at any cost.
