Many people will claim that evil is the absence of God. This I dispute, because there is no place in all creation that God is not present. Therefore, it I not the absence of God that is the cause of evil, but it is definitely the rejection of God. There is a very big difference between these two ideas.
Ever since the Garden of Eden, humanity has rebelled against God and what he stands for. This is clearly explained to us in.
Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Yes, we are all sinners, and this is one thing we simply cannot deny. To do this is to lie to ourselves, and to God.
In this life, we have a real choice to make. Will we accept God into our lives? Or will we follow the ways of this world and reject God altogether. To accept God is to gain eternal life in his Kingdom. To reject him is to suffer eternal punishment. Only you can decide for yourself which way you want to go.
When you realise what one of the greatest gifts God has given to all humanity, only then can you see why we have so many troubles in this world. That greatest blessing is our own free will. God will never force you to do what is right. You and you alone will have to make your own choices.
But there is one thing I can guarantee you will be a result of accepting God into your life. And that is Satan will not like it, and he will do all within his power to stop you from seeking God. Every obstacle he can put in your path, he will do. He is a very clever and relentless enemy, so you must expect him to try to influence your life and to try to get you to reject God from every aspect of your existence.
This short book is a place for you to start your own research and studies into this topic. May God bring you to understanding the importance of not rejecting him from your life.
