Hawke makes contact with Kegan Frederickson and they forge a plan to return Synjan to her homeworld. Hawke has to continue his charade as 'Aron' and travel with Synjan and Daeson a little longer.

The next world is a dystopian relic, suffering the aftermath of a bioweapon called the Ark. Within a city slowly being overtaken by nature, the three Wanderers rescue a woman, Leiara. She quickly befriends Daeson, and soon her presence adds a layer of mistrust, paranoia and jealousy. Is she what she claims to be, a Wanderer like them? If so, then she only wants the safety they can provide. But if she's something else entirely, what could she be after?

As the small group heads towards the portal that will be their escape from the ruined world, Hawke has to decide how best to betray Synjan... and if he even wants to.
