The present volume presents the results of interdisciplinary research on the relations between generations in medieval religious life. It gathers contributions to the following topics: the theological concept of being 'children of God', the boy bishop's feast, ecclesiastical dynasties in the Irish church, conflicts between the generations in late medieval nunneries, the Cistercian novice master and children in the Franciscan Order.
