Locked up in the boarding house next to the jail, Georgia anxiously awaits the verdict and soon senses that nobody cares if her abusive husband is the real killer or not. Found guilty, her husband is hanged. In the meantime, the townsfolk gossip and speculate whether Georgia is really a gunslinger who rides the range. Forced to sell the ranch, she leaves her daughters with her father, and solicits the aide of a whorehouse madam who introduces her to Ben Anderson, a successful bounty hunter with an ego bigger than the Grand Canyon. Together, they have a son and build a working cattle ranch, but Ben has many enemies and Georgia can't shake an undeniable feeling of impending danger. After Georgia's dreams go up in smoke, she starts her life again in California, this time with her son.
Georgia must learn to deal with the difficulties of living in a man's world in the Old West, while managing to keep a few dark secrets along the way.
