Godriana's Font: an ancient legend of a woman enchanted by an illusion in a fountain.
Is Lilias caught, as Godriana was?
The Dark Fae Lord Skull weaves many illusions as he settles into his reign over Iscleft Haven. Recovering from the devastating battle against a sorceress and her shapeshifting wyre, the Haveners willingly accept Skull's illusions because they are desperate for his protection.
Their only mediator with Lord Skull is the mentor of Air, Lilias. She had intended to leave with her friends for the Citadel, yet she lingered, for no one stood for the Haveners.
The Citadel remains her goal, yet first she must convince Lord Skull that all Haveners are his responsibility, not just the knights and dames he took from the Haven.
What will it take to convince him? To protect herself, must Lilias abandon the Haveners to the mercurial Lord Skull? Or will she fall prey to the Dark Fae's illusions?
Note to Readers: "Godriana's Font" is part of the Fae Mark'd World. While events in this short story immediately follow the novella To Curse the Wyre, it is not necessary to read that book or the trilogy Spells of Air in order to enjoy this short story.
