Arthur had beaten Gloria handily the first time they'd fought so he didn't hesitate when she asked for a rematch. After all, what had happened at the end of their first encounter had been thoroughly enjoyable.
But partway into their second fight he suddenly realized that Gloria had upped her game. And, when it was all on the line, she wrapped her right ankle around his left ankle, then wrapped her left ankle around his right.
"It's called a grapevine," she said as she leveraged her long legs below her hips to spread his legs.
Terror stabbed into his gut as Arthur remembered the forfeit that Gloria had chosen in the event she won the fight and summoned all his energy and all his strength to struggle against the hold, against the way she was pulling his legs apart.
