All is definitely not well in Faerell, where faeries and wolves have lived and worked together, generally peacefully, for centuries.
Although the usurper is dead, the damage he inflicted will take time to undo. The strong belief that wolves and faeries should not mate still exists, despite the new queen's decree.
And then a faery falls through the veil from the human world. A place she should never have been.
And she's in active labor.
Faery healer Tate steps up and does what he does best; he helps her through the ordeal, and she delivers a healthy…wolf child.
Which isn't supposed to happen.
To make it worse, the new mother has lost her memories. She has no idea what she was doing in the human world nor who the father of her babe might be.
As Tate helps her adjust to life in Faerell and bring her memories back, he also must resist his attraction to Celeste, because, eventually, her memories will return.
And so will the father of her babe.
