When you have a gut feeling that your child needs help but you don't know what the problem is, how do you know where to turn?
In this quick and easy-to-read e-book Bridget Edwards provides an overview of areas of learning difficulties as well as tips and activities for learning. Her aim is to make this information affordable and accessible to all parents.
After completing a BA(Hons) and practical teaching placement in New Zealand, as well as a CERT3 in ECE, Bridget Edwards moved to Sydney in 2010 to train with Jim Hooson of Learning Creations, which was formed to holistically assist children, teenagers and adults experiencing difficulties with all aspects of learning, attention and behaviour, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD, dyscalculia, giftedness, twice exceptional abilities, selective mutism, Aspergers and autism. Bridget worked with and was mentored by Jim and his close network of kinesiologists, behavioural optometrists, breathing specialists, as well as published New York author Laurie Spigel. During this time she also studied with the North American Montessori Centre (Infant/Toddler) and ran small baby stretching/activity classes.
Bridget soon began running her own holistic assessments and 5 day programs with children and adults, as well as independent consulting, teaching Special Education teachers the Learning Creations activities, and training tutors. She found her greatest enjoyment in full-time tutoring and homeschooling work with dyslexic and gifted children and teenagers.
Bridget now provides holistic assessments, a written report, recommendations and follow up tutoring or activity programs, and is also associated with the Learning Creations Network, a team of dedicated education professionals that saw the results Jim's methods produced and had to be involved.
