My foster wolf just shifted into the most beautiful man I've ever seen.
I came to this small mountain town to heal and opened an animal shelter. When I got word of a dogfighting ring on the edge of town, I had to put a stop to it. Everyone told me it was dangerous. That I didn't know what I was messing with.
Once my staff and I brought those dogs to safety, we realized they were wolves. It didn't matter–we'd make sure they were warm, clean, fed, and loved until they were healthy enough to be released into the wild.
One of them won't leave my side. I call him my Velcro wolf. I brought him home as a foster.
On the night of the full moon, everyone in the shelter is acting up, including my foster wolf. So I take him outside, hoping it calms him. But it doesn't. He starts whining, crying, and howling, like he's trying to tell me something. I stroke his fur, but it's no use.
Bones snap, and skin bursts through his fur.
I laughed off all the local werewolf legends, but now, there's a gorgeous, naked man standing in front of me.
"I won't hurt you," he says. "But those wolves who captured my pack and made us fight want to make you pay. And I won't let them lay a paw on you."
