Connie Squiers is a graduate of Regent University's wonderful Christian law school. Her desire has been to write books about horses that were appealing to young people and would incorporate the tenets of her faith. Her stories show kids overcoming adversity with the help of wonderful mentors, a love of horses, and their Christian faith. Dakota takes place in Southeastern Oklahoma and tells of a young Choctaw Indian boy who wanted to become a vet. Along the way, he received the gift of a lifetime--a beautiful Arab-Mustang colt. Spirit's Legacy focuses on a young Christian boy and his mother who inherited a ranch in Northern New Mexico. Through their adventures, they came to love horses, especially one they named Spirit. The Copper Colt is set in rural Virginia and is about an orphan boy who loved a beautiful chestnut colt he named Copper. His faith, and good Christian friends, helped him deal with the trouble and betrayal he found along the way. Connie would love for you to ride with her through the trials, and many smiles, you will find in her books.
