Authors note:
Ozzy was brought to life in 1999 and was written for my son Travis to help him not be afraid.
My granddaughter Jessalyn was born in 2011 and in 2013 I started my quest to put pictures to the stories I had written so many years ago. After many artist attempting to put pictures to my words I decided to do my own illustrations, I struggled for several years and in 2015 I found procreate, a drawing application for my iPad and it was exactly what I needed! I can't say enough about how amazing using this app has been!
My mother Eileen O'Melay and I tag teamed the illustrations and brought Ozzy and his friends to life.
Special thanks to Eileen O'Melay (my mom) for your invaluable help and encouragement, my husband and love of my life Clayton Slater for always believing in me and for your encouragement, Richard O'Melay (my dad) for taking the time to pose so I could get the proportions right, Travis Slater (my son) for the inspiration to write the books, Ashley Slater (my daughter) for the push to get them finished for my granddaughter Jessalyn Eileen Foster and Kaedence Ray Slater, my grandson Cillian Lex Slater and the three grandsons that will soon be here Collin Martin Slater, Colton Martin Slater, Conner Martin Slater. I love you all!
