Description

Book 21 is both a historical and fictional account of Great Britain's Darkest Hour at the onset of WWII. It completes the stories of four separate family members unknown to each other and their efforts to stop Hitler and his Nazi machine. It completes the stories of Colonel Jacques Bardot and Major Raul Andruszkiewicz of the Deuxième Bureau. It tells of the triumphs and sacrifices of Tadeusz Kosciusko Andruszkiewicz and Sgt. Tadeusz Andruszkow as pilots in the 303 Squadron. Flight Lt. Robert Andruszkiewicz in the 54 Squadron is remembered for his role in the Battles of France and Britain. It tells of the heroic voyages to and from France by Robert King, his son James, and their mate Roger Thorn in Operation Dynamo. And how hundreds of good English men came to save 380,000 soldiers trapped at Dunkirk. The loyalty, love, and devotional belief in their country were heard in the words of their Prime Minister."We shall go on to the end. We shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."Winston Churchill
