From its inception the Bible has been edited, redacted, added to, and subtracted from; called Corrections.
Why must the Word of God be altered?
The early Biblical authors were aware of these continuous, ongoing, alterations. cf. Neither add or subtract from Scripture; cf. John 15:15, Hebrews 1:1-2, John 16:12-13, II Timothy 3:14-17, I Corinthians 13:8, II Corinthians 11:13-15, Matthew 11:13, Acts 20:20-27, II Peter 1:3, Deuteronomy 12:32, Proverbs 19:19, Proverbs 30:5-6, Isaiah 8:20, Acts 17:11, Galatians 1:6-9, I Thessalonians 5:21, I John 4:1, etc., etc., but this has never stopped the Christian ministry from changing Holy Scriptures, and which hasn't stopped various Christian denominations from adding to their version of the Bible.
