This year marks the centenary of the last witch hunt, the Inquisition, in Crackenback. A terrible tragedy in which three hundred and seventy-four witches and wizards lost their lives in the burning of the church of Sainte Lucie.

It is also the year that everything will change for Lana Rivers, an eighteen-year-old teenager. It's her senior year of high school, and she's ready to face it all with her two best friends, Clarke and Glenda.
But after a horrible nightmare in which she sees herself drowning, she is led to Theodore in the middle of the night.
