But trouble came to her from her former homeland across the sea in America. This trouble came in the form of her once sister-in-law, Rowena Kingston Patterson. Rowena is now divorced from Christine's brother, Robert Pip Patterson. She has taken her rightful title of Lady Countess Rowena Kingston along with her brother, Lord Count Douglas Kingston, in England. Rowena now resides in London at Kingston Hall with her brother. With her came her five friends, former ladies of her brothel in Charleston, to help her wage a war of revenge against the Patterson family. She financially ruined Pip's new wife, Marie, and now she intends to ruin his stately sister, Lady Christine. Her intentions are to learn of her indiscretions and make them known to the Crown as acts of treason. An unexpected war develops between Rowena and Christine. Lady Lace and her lovely Ladies are called back into action to defend Christine's honor and the lives of her family and loved ones. The losses will be heavy on both sides.
