When a mysterious book shows up on the shelves of a small book store, the lives of two men become intertwined in ways they never expected.
Marvin, a lonely book store owner, finds a handbound book with no title and no author misshelved between a biography about Franz Liszt and a book about the financial struggles of the Ottoman Empire in the early 19th century. When he reads the book later that night, he finds clues to who may have written this memoir and decides to leave the cozy confines of the store and find out how this book arrived on his shelves.
