Mindfulness is a natural form of meditation, it's usually done by concentrating or focusing your awareness on your bodily sensations such as breathing, while at the same time acknowledging and accepting your feelings and emotions and letting go of any thoughts of the future or past.
Mindfulness, in very simple terms, is the practice of, or the ability to, concentrate on one's inner-self by paying close attention to what is happening in the moment or present and ignoring thoughts and feelings of the past or future.
Life for or many people can be a struggle, coping with negative feelings and self-doubt. It's very common for people to experience an overall feeling of dissatisfaction with their lives and anticipated future. Many people feel that there must be more to life. Negative feelings of emptiness and dissatisfaction can affect people of any age and experience level, in all different cultures and religions, often ending in tragic consequences for some.
Many people look for the answers in religion or bury themselves in their work to avoid having to face these issues. Some people move to another location to start again or try to find the answer in new relationships. Others elect to use different drugs to either blot out issues or in the hope they will help to provide some form of enlightenment or answers.
The answers to these questions can only be found inside each of us. To find peace of mind, contentment and "mindfulness" you need to look inside yourself in an open, honest, non-self-condemning way.
The reality for everyone is that the answer to solving many of life's negative feelings and to "find oneself" in a spiritual sense is really within all of us. Using mindfulness, to find a healthy, happy state of mind is not only possible for everyone, but it's also relatively simple and inexpensive to do so, ANYONE CAN DO THIS !!!
