This book identifies and analyses the problems with current English sales law, and in particular the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Arguing in favour of a thorough overhaul of the law, it considers how the law could be modernised, and sets out the criteria which should be applied to bring it up to date. The ever-increasing influence of European and international harmonising efforts in the law are considered, with the book addressing developments in EU and US sales law and their possible impact on English sales law.
