When Omar, the son of a servant, wins a scholarship to an elite school, he knows it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve his chances in life. He can't wait to experience everything the school has to offer: certainly the astronomy club and he also hopes to win a place on the soccer team. His friends think he's good enough.
But when he arrives at school, his hopes are shattered. Scholarship boys are not treated the same as the other students. They must study extra hard, are not allowed to join any clubs or teams and then there are the chores: while the others are relaxing and watching films or playing soccer, Omar and the other scholarship boys are studying or folding laundry or preparing meals.
Omar digs deep within himself to hold onto his dreams and find the courage and determination to fight this injustice. Together with his friends he sets out to do what seems impossible: change a broken system.
A warm-hearted, uplifting story about believing in yourself, student activism and fighting for justice.
