William Robinson, a 27-year-old from England, is on a backpacking adventure around South America. All is going well until he reaches the Iguazu Falls in Argentina's northeast corner. It is here he gets tricked out of his savings by Anna, an attractive young Argentinian con artist. While waiting for his finances to be replenished, he stays at a small finca (farm estate) as a volunteer helper. But a series of deaths and disappearances among those staying at the finca soon unsettles life at this supposedly calm rural oasis. Are the deaths merely an unfortunate set of coincidences or is something more sinister at play? Is the owner's charity scheme a cover for something else? Is everyone at the finca who they appear to be... especially beautiful beguiling Dani? And how does a sainted folk hero who's been dead for 140 years fit in with all the scheming and subterfuge? William soon finds himself in life-threatening danger, and his survival will depend on the increasingly risky decisions he has to make.
