In about the 16th century Owyn, a carpenter by trade in the city of St. Augustine, is celebrating the eve of his wedding when with his best friend his life is changed in a matter of minutes. They are viciously attacked by monsters and saved by creatures equally as odd. In his sadness and fury, Owyn undergoes a metamorphosis that sends him running high into the mountains. Even though lonely, he is ashamed of what he's become. Can he overcome his shortcomings and accept who he is?
