Policing in The Bahamas, 1951 and Beyond, is intended as a research document, containing information about the Royal
Bahamian Police Force, its many significant accomplishments, and the safe and secure service provided to the community working under the difficult and adverse conditions in the early 1950s.
The author, Paul Thompson, joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force in 1951and served there for 30 years, 25 of which was spent in the Criminal Investigation Department. He has compiled materials gleaned from training both local and overseas; selected sections of criminal law and Court decisions including Judge's rulings and their administration.
