In 2020, Posture published their first book with Jan: "WAT. IS. DIT?" (N° 38), a selection from his numerous Moleskine sketchbooks. The book has since sold out.

The second Posture Editions with the internationally renowned architect-artist is a commentary on our ephemeral and luxurious glamour culture.

De Vylder has been systematically painting De Standaard Magazine with white paint every week for quite some time. Then he hangs the magazine to dry on the laundry rack.

De Vylder sees this act as a poetic resistance to contemporary superficiality in which culture is confused with consumption. The book compiles a selection from more than 1,000 overpaintings into a voluminous reference work in which the many spreads from the magazines play radically with the hidden or concealed and where the viewer is encouraged to look for the subtle differences within almost nothing. De Vylder himself writes a text for the book in which he relates repainting to the search for the negative spaces, the openings, and the fade-out within his architectural practice.

The book will be presented in Brussels, at gallery Maniera, which commissions architects and artists to develop utilitarian objects. The gallery is located in the beautiful Hôtel Danckaert, that was designed in 1922 by the Belgian architect Jean-Baptiste Dewin.

The book is also being presented in Switzerland, at ETH Zurich-department of architecture, where De Vylder is leading the Studio 'universe carousel journey'.
