Nearly a year ago, a group of corrupt cops tried to kill two cops, and failed, thanks in part to Mac Davis, a Marine turned cop reporter for the Seattle Examiner. And as is often the case, the attempt to cover it up was an even bigger deal than the original crime.

And now, finally, the court trials will begin.

But witnesses are going missing. There is a hit list with bounties — and Mac Davis and others at the Examiner are on it. Mac is determined to keep his people safe, either as a reporter, or as Marine.
