Schellings Naturphilosophie war lange Zeit beinahe in Vergessenheit geraten. Seit einigen Jahren erfahrt sie vor allem unter Physikern und Biologen eine unerwartete Renaissance. Michael Rudolphi unternimmt es, die Genese der Naturphilosophie in Schellings Fruhschriften systematisch zu rekonstruieren. Am Beispiel der Materiekonstruktion stellt er dar, wie die Produktionen des Natursubjekts zur Entfaltung kommen.
