Roger Godchaux
Roger Codchaux fait partie des plus importants sculpteurs animaliers du XXe siècle. Dans les années trente, il crée un bestiaire naturaliste, en marge du mouvement surnommé le « retour au lisse ». Grand admirateur de Barye, il renouvelle l'art animalier naturaliste en modelant des animaux dans leurs attitudes habituelles et pacifiques. Roger Godchaux was one of the leading animal sculptors of the twentieth century. In the 1930s, he created a naturalistic bestiary, on the margins of a movement called le Retour au Lisse'.
