This set reissues eight books that examine the work and principles of William Blake. The titles were originally published between 1953 and 1998 and analyse and comment on all of Blake's major works including his prophetic works and the Songs of Innocence and Experience.
Taken as a whole, this set explores many areas of Blake's life and work including the literary merit of Blake's poems, his vision and philosophy, and his religion and politics. Volume 4 provides a bibliography for Blake criticism to encourage further reading.
