After getting blasted by alien energy, Sophie takes a break from reality on a girls' trip with her mom in Cuba. Their plan is to reconnect and retrace their family history -- until eerie visions "show" Sophie the fateful crash of a UFO in 1960 that has major ramifications on her life. And just as she wraps her head around that, she glimpses a premonition of her friend, Milo, getting shot.

Desperate to save him, Soph comes clean about her extraterrestrial extracurricular activities -- only for the Cuban Army to arrest her. Apparently, they aren't too fond of American reporters on their soil.
