Exiled to another world, the last of the Shriven fights on.
Home has fallen and the survivors have fled to the human world, there to blend in as best as they can. Some adapt better than others.
Dalmorpheus, the last of the warrior-monk order known as the Shriven, is doing better than most. Never the most devout Shriven, he's living a life filled with wine and women and loving every minute of it. He rarely thinks of Home and the things that were lost.
That all comes to an end, though, when Siphanthia, Princess of the Line and Dal's old flame, appears at his door, demanding his help. Glinfildia, the eldest princess and architect of the Fall, has escaped her confinement.
Dal reluctantly agrees and recruits an old friend, one who washed out of Shriven training in the past, and that Dal is pretty sure is insane. Together, they find themselves in a battle that stretches across two worlds and threatens to destroy not only the remnants of Home, but everything else Dal holds dear.
Can they stop Glin before she kills everyone in her way? Or will Dal have to surrender to her dark desires?
