Gianni Cesare is the very definition of a spaghetti western. He's an Italian count who owns a big working ranch that he doesn't really have time for because he's also a DEA agent. He's back on his home turf at the ranch to bust up a drug ring which is why, when it comes time to hire a new foreman, he tells his Aunt Jerilyn to hire someone who won't ask a lot of questions.
Bonner Fannin is a rodeo man, not a ranch cowboy, but he has a host of his own problems, including a pregnant sister who has a stalker biker ex, so he hires on as the foreman of Gianni's ranch to protect her. How hard can it be to manage horses and cows, right? He'll do whatever he's got to do to save his family.
The problem for both of them is that they know each other, having had a fiery, more than one night stand at the beach many years back. Their attraction to each other still burns like a brush fire, but that's only going to get in the way when there's a drug pipeline running right through the ranch, a host of bad guys coming after them, and slew of federal agent task force members staying at the ranch. Can Gianni and Bonner get past the secrets they have to keep and find a way to be together after all?
