The Stoics were an emotionless bunch-or were they? The picture many people have when they think about this philosophy is of people enduring hardships with expressionless faces and endless, emotionless patience. Even happy occasions would not cause exuberance to a Stoic if you believe the popular picture painted of them.
That is, however, not the whole truth about the philosophy of Stoicism. While patience certainly is a virtuosic principle, it was only one of a whole list of virtues necessary to be a good human being according to the Stoic philosophy.
