Intended for children in grades 4 through 6, Book 2 of the Strayer-Upton Practical Arithmetics series builds upon the foundational operations introduced in Book 1. Covered in the third part of Book 2 are the topics of problem solving, fractions, and decimals. After an introduction to fractions, the topics of adding and subtracting fractions, and multiplying and dividing fractions are taken up. Building on the introduction to decimals in Part 2, further work on reading decimals, adding and subtracting decimals, and multiplying and dividing decimals is presented. Answers are included in a separate section at the back.
