Claudia has crafted her life carefully. She runs a sweetshop, has a few close friends, dates a handsome journalist. There is nothing to alert anyone to her whereabouts or her secret. It is this secret that Claudia dreads anyone finding out.
That she is a witch is no secret, but it is something she talks about with no one outside her fellow witch friends. Being a witch isn't something she wants. She lives her quiet life, hiding in her cloud of sugar and chocolate, pretending that magic isn't in her blood. But all of that gets knocked off balance when she meets the gorgeous, green-eyed Boyd Burrows, a wand maker who seems determined that Claudia embrace her inner witch and use magic.
To do so, to give in to the magical side of her, could be disastrous for everyone. Claudia needs to find a way to control herself and her magic, especially around Boyd whose very presence seems to draw out the wildness in her, unless she wants her world destroyed, her secrets revealed, and those she cares about to be in danger.
