This is a poetry book for children or cat lovers, about a multi-generational cat family who live near each other, in one neighborhood.
CAT PILLAR
William waited by the gopher hole
For "Something To Chase" to come out
He knew that the thing had gone in there
He saw it go in, without doubt
He had gotten up very early
To see everything going on
He was very, very curious
So he had gotten up at dawn
The gopher/thing looked exciting, but
Maybe, just a little too big
He didn't really know what he'd do
If it ran from the hole where it hid
That nasty smell must be it, he thought
As a whiff of scent came out
"It's an awfully stinky smell
The smelliest of all, no doubt"
After waiting what seemed like hours
William wore out and lost hope
"It is not coming out", he thought
So he went off to capture The Rope
