I was born and raised in the city of New York-Queens, with
a Jamaican descent. I grew up fatherless with no male role
model. Over time I lost focus in my successes and resorted to the
street life, as a result, I became a juvenile delinquent. I've done some
time at the Crossroads Juvenile Center, Horizons Juvenile Center,
and Spofford Juvenile Detention Center. Over the years, I was in
both non-secure detention (NSD) and non-secure placement (NSP)
programs. However, I overcame the madness and I am now a veteran
of the United States Army. I've participated in Atlantic Resolve
2.0 and supported two operations: Operation Freedom's Sentinel
and Operation Resolute Support. Over my six years, I've travelled
to Afghanistan, Germany, Kuwait, and Poland. I am now pursuing
a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in mass communication. In addition to
being the husband of a beautiful wife and the father of two amazing
daughters. I am also real estate agent and a businessman, who is
involved in many ventures. My sole purpose for creating this book is due to the little version
of me who grew up without a father to raise him. I was lost as a child,
and I went in numerous opposing directions trying to find my way. I
was that little kid who had a million and one questions. Growing up
without a father left me with a multitude of unanswered questions.
I thought of all the other fatherless kids in this world, and I wanted
their questions to be answered. I wanted to create a book offering
wisdom learned along with multiple traits and tools that will keep
other men from wandering around and looking lost. A book for late
teenagers searching for knowledge on things occurring in everyday
life. A book that grown men can come back to repeatedly.
We have five chapters to cover, each one containing knowledge
each man must know. This book is a rite of passage for seventeen year-
old teenagers who are becoming men. However, it's also a book
that a man can resort to for useful information when he feels lost
during any stage of life. I want to get straight to the tools provided
in this book. Therefore, I won't give you a descriptive thesis and
conclusion about what this book entails. I'm a genuinely nice guy.
Why would I make you read something just to read it again? That
doesn't make any sense, right? The only information I'm going to
give you is the reason I created this book. After that, we're going to
get straight into it! When I picked up the pen, I combined research with life skills
gleaned from personal experiences. My goal was to create a book for
growing young adults and grown men to resort to! My idea was not
to just create a book that was accessible to readers, but a book that
could be passed on to the next generation-a rite of passage for late
teenage boys in need of directions on the path to becoming men and
a reference text for adult men who have lost their way. Welcome to
The Blueprint for Men! I am glad to share this knowledge with you.
