Author of the Apology for Parson Alberoni = Thomas Gordon. With a 30p. dedication, Preface to the reader, and Contents leaf in vol. I; with dedication, Advertisement and Contents in v. [2]. Vol. [2] imprint reads: London, printed for T. Woodward, at the Half-Moon over against St. Dunstan's Church in Fleet-street, MDCCXXV. The Advertisement to v. [2] begins, "The success of the virst volume encouraged the bookseller to collect the following essays, and form them into a second"; the second volume title page is unnumbered. Vol. I was reprinted several times in 1720 and 1724.
