Kirk Westmoreland dreams of owning his own restaurant someday, but for now he works at the family-owned Venezia in beautiful Sonoma Valley. He's been living with his older brother Tyler for six years, ever since Kirk graduated from college. Now he understands why his control-freak brother is divorced. Their sister Jennifer left Venezia long ago, and manages a small diner called Sweeties, working alongside her wife, Jazzy.
Suffering from insomnia due to the stress of working at Venezia and struggling to get ahead, Kirk goes to Sweeties in the small hours of the night. Sometimes he helps out in the kitchen, when his sister is short-handed. One night he meets the new server, Ashley. Despite his best efforts not to be attracted to the young blond, Kirk finds himself drawn to him, and ends up going home with him—to the best sleep he's had in forever. He has it all now, but can he keep his life at Sweeties compartmentalized from his life at Venezia, and if he doesn't, which one will he be willing to give up?
