A law school preaches justice, but ...
"There is no truth without proof." Professor Sturgis told his law students that many times over the years.
When Allison Klassen, a first year law student, takes her life Sturgis is haunted by her death. It just made no sense. Why would she kill herself?
Sturgis, a former prosecutor, sets out to find out why and enlists the aid of two fellow professors. Together, as they dig deeper, the evidence soon points to one of their own-- Assistant Professor Jerome Fraser. They suspect that Fraser is a serial predator who uses his position to target female students.
But they need proof and proof will not be easy to come by. The police have closed the file; the university is not interested in knowing the truth; and Fraser is clever, manipulative and dangerous.
