The action takes place in the present day or in the last decade of our time. The main character is Chris Lobowski, a guy living in one of the coastal cities of America. He is handsome, brave, and ambitious. At the beginning of the novel, he works as a car mechanic. Later, thanks to events developing in his life, unexpectedly, he becomes an artist and at the same time the owner of a bar. The novel begins with Chris meeting Stephanie, a pure, kind, educated girl from the upper circles of society, a psychology student. Chris and Stephanie have a great and passionate love. However, on his journey of becoming a person and a man, Chris meets other women, just as Stephanie meets another man. The hero of the novel gets tattoos on his body, capturing significant events for himself and important people in his life
